Junior UTC on the podium

Ranked among the 30 best Junior Enterprises in France and affiliated with the National Confederation of Junior Enterprises (CNJE), the association is democratising the business of consulting.
‘With its regional roots, its high, effective ‘firepower, so to speak, its connections to the UTC community through UTeam and the UTC Foundation for Innovation, which link the academic and industrial worlds, and its participation in the development of strategic partnerships within the Copil Entreprises UTC, the UTC Junior Enterprise aka Junior UTC is progressing,’ says Samuel Veillerette, Director of Partnerships and Entrepreneurship. “The future of engineering is linked to that of consulting.”
Construction site management through digitalisation, noise pollution reduction through innovative acoustic solutions, optimisation of administrative processes with UTC… IT, mechanical engineering, biology, urban processes and systems: the Junior UTC’s areas of expertise enable it to meet the needs of small French and local businesses, as well as large groups such as Dyson, Saint-Gobain, Engie, Airbus, Bouygues, Medtronic, Bonduelle and even the Directorate- General for External Security (DGSE). An economic and educational student association that provides consulting services, “Junior UTC conducts studies and provides financially attractive services. It’s fun, friendly and very educational, like a big family,” says Benoît de Miscault, president of Junior UTC and a computer engineering student who hopes to specialise in AI and data science. Fully integrated into the local ecosystem, the association promotes the Greater Compiègne Region while enabling students to take their first steps in entrepreneurship and consulting. For example, we are developing seminars with the Oise Departmental Chamber of Commerce and Industry to raise awareness among businesses about technological challenges and provide AI based solutions and building the industry of tomorrow.” “The junior Enterprise company is an enormously rewarding and professionalising experience,” acknowledges Victor Cristante, marketing manager of the association and a fourthyear mechanical engineering student. “It provides partners with initial concrete solutions. Being part of it is a strong added- v a l u e for future recruiters.” The next goals for its 40 or so volunteer members, who generate up to € 100 000 in revenue per year, are to ‘further develop our skills and promote our brand and that of the school,’ says Benoît de Miscault. And to maintain its excellence and national ranking.
