Launching the UTseuS Master’s degree

March 8, 2019 saw the sign­ing, by the UTseUS steer­ing com­mit­tee, of a Sino-French pro­to­col agree­ment in rela­tion to the launch­ing of the UTseuS Master’s degree. 

Ori­ent­ed to mecha­tron­ics, in its wider con­no­ta­tion ” cyber physics sys­tems “,this UTseuS pro­gramme is designed to enable dual award of a Mas­ter’s degree from the Uni­ver­si­ty of Shang­hai et the Mas­ter’s degree of the group of French uni­ver­si­ties of Tech­nolo­gies (UT). This Mas­ter’s pro­gramme recruits 100 Chi­nese and French stu­dents each year. 

New agreement in 2019

The French par­ty to the sign­ing cer­e­mo­ny was com­posed of Pres­i­dent & Prof Philippe Courtier UTC, accom­pa­nied by Éti­enne Arnoult, Direc­tor of Ped­a­gogy UTC, his coun­ter­part Emmanuelle Rouhaud at UTT-Troyes. Prof Liao Han­lin, UTBM-Belfort Mont­be­liard and Dr Pierre Koch, Direc­tor of UTT-Troyes par­tic­i­pat­ed via video­con­fer­ence. The Chi­nese par­ty was led by Prof Jin Dong­han, Par­ty Sec­re­tary and Pres­i­dent of the Uni­ver­si­ty of Shang­hai (SHU) with sev­er­al Vice-Pres­i­dents (Ped­a­gogy, Inter­na­tion­al Affairs… ). The agree­ment to be signed in respect to launch­ing the new Mas­ter’s degree pro­gramme will be signed in July 2019 and cur­rent plans call for a full-scale coop­er­a­tion agree­ment to be signed by end 2020 between the French UTs and SH U.
